About Stars Reach Guide

Where the facts come from

Every number and mechanic on this site is traced to a dated first-party source: a Stars Reach patch note on the Steam news feed, a dev post on starsreach.com, the Steam store listing, or Steam's own review and concurrent-player data. Where a page states a rule, it names the build or the post that introduced it — because in a game shipping hotfixes every two to three days, an undated claim is worthless.

What we do not do

• We do not run our own in-game tests. That is a real limit and we would rather state it than imply otherwise. It is why you will find no damage tables, no measured drop rates and no tier scores here — those would require testing conditions we cannot reproduce.
• We do not publish tier lists. Playable Worlds has released no combat numbers. A ranked profession list would be an opinion wearing a data costume.
• We do not list codes. Stars Reach has never issued promo codes. Pages offering them exist to capture a search, not to answer it.
• We do not fill in blanks. Where the studio has not published something — the Hansian homeworld, the full profession tree, PvP death consequences — the page says so instead of guessing.

How often it is re-checked

Every hotfix on the Stars Reach Steam news feed is read within 48 hours of appearing, and any page whose facts it touches is re-verified and re-stamped. Each data page carries the date it was last checked at the bottom, not the date the site was rebuilt — those are different things, and only one of them is honest.

Where we defer to other sources

For things that genuinely require playing — a specific alien artifact puzzle solution, the exact contents of a Founders Pack tier, current market prices — the official Discord and the r/StarsReach community are better sources than any static page, and we say so on the pages where it applies rather than manufacturing an answer.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, or a patch has moved a fact we have not caught yet, please tell us. Corrections are the cheapest quality improvement available and we would rather have them than not.
